Peel police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the murder investigation of a Mississauga, Ont. housekeeper.
Fabian Loayza-Penaloza, a 35-year-old Woodbridge resident, was taken into custody Tuesday night without incident, police said.
The arrest came a day after police arrested another suspect in Toronto, 35-year-old labourer Cristian Figueroa.
Both men are charged with first-degree murder in the case.
Jocelyn Dulnuan, 27, was found dead in the basement of the $15-million mansion where she worked.
Insp. Norm English said Tuesday she had been "forcibly confined and murdered."
He also said the motive in the murder was robbery and that it was the house that was targeted, not Dulnuan. Jewellery and cash were reportedly taken from the home.
At a news conference Tuesday, English sent out a clear message, telling reporters he knows there are people out there who know more than they've let on.
"What I can say with confidence is that there are some people who do have important knowledge relating to this crime," he said. "They know who they are and it's now time for them to come forward and be truthful."
Police made the arrests after an exhaustive 11-week investigation.
