BOLTON, Ont. - One woman is in custody and police are looking for a male suspect after an elderly man's body was found at the side of a road northwest of Toronto earlier in the week.
York Regional Police said Wednesday that they arrested Wendy Martineau, 48, without incident at her home in Brampton. She is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder in connection with the homicide.
Police also said they are looking for her son, James Martineau, 29.
Wendy Martineau is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Newmarket court on Thursday.
Police identified the body found by a road north of Bolton, Ont., as that of Ivan Newton Davison, 73, of Brampton. They said blunt-force trauma was the cause of death.
His remains were discovered Monday near the Caledon-King Townline South -- also known as Mount Wolfe Road.
Davison and the Martineaus lived together in the Main Street and Queen Street area in Brampton.
James Martineau is described as white, 5'10'', 160 pounds. He has short, brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a "hatchet man" on the ride side of his right neck and another tattoo of the word "Chayce" in script on the left side of his left side neck.
