A 23-year-old man has died after being hit by a taxicab in downtown Toronto early Sunday morning.
Police say the man was crossing Ossington Street near College Street at about 3 a.m. when he was struck by a southbound cab.
The unidentified victim was taken to St. Michael's Hospital with massive head injuries but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Traffic Services closed the intersection to investigate the cause of the accident.
No charges have been laid.
The victim is the city's 14th traffic fatality of the year.
