Two men were taken to hospital following a road rage incident in Forest Hill on Thursday night.
Witnesses told police the altercation began when the driver of a silver Chrysler 300 cut off a limousine on St. Clair Avenue, west of Avenue Road, just after 8 p.m.
Both drivers got out of their vehicles and exchanged words in a heated argument.
Witness Jono Hopmeyer told CTV Toronto the driver of the Chrysler then got behind the wheel of the limo and drove it a short distance, moving it to the side of the road.
The limo driver then got behind the wheel of the Chrysler, which is when the incident turned violent.
"The driver of the Chrysler ran back, grabbed the limo driver, starting beating on him, knocked him to the sidewalk and when he was down, kicked him in the face," said witness Frank Hardin.
"Some pedestrians came to (the victim's) assistance. The driver of the Chrysler took off and ran through a backyard (toward Yonge Street)."
The suspect was chased down by witnesses who helped make the arrest.
The victim suffered head injuries but was conscious when taken to hospital. The suspect suffered minor injuries and was placed under police guard at hospital. He is expected to be charged with assault.
