Subway service resumed Friday evening after a track-level blaze at the St. George subway station disrupted service.
Firefighters were called to the station around 9:30 p.m. on reports of heavy smoke at track level. The blaze was reported extinguished within the hour.
According to reports, power to the station was cut and the station was evacuated.
The TTC said full service was restored on the Bloor-Danforth line by 10:45 p.m. but were bypassing the St. George Station.
Earlier, trains on the Bloor-Danforth line were turned back at Ossington and Broadview stations, while trains on the Yonge-University line were turned back at Union Station and St. Clair West.
