TORONTO - Crown attorneys wrapped up their witness examinations Thursday in the retrial of two young men accused of first-degree murder in the death of Jordan Manners.
The accused can only be identified as C.D. and J.W. because they were youths at the time.
It was almost four years ago that Manners, 15, was found dead in a stairwell at his Toronto school with a .25-calibre bullet in his chest.
That bullet was one of the main topics of discussion on Thursday in testimony from Garry Lawrence of the Centre of Forensic Science.
The first defence witness to be called to the stand was special education teacher Bruce Miles who testified he'd heard Manners discussing guns with other students.
The defence plans to call two more witnesses to the stand over the course of Friday and Monday and closing arguments could begin the following week.
