Jury members in the Jordan Manners murder trial experienced an unusual day when they were taken to the scene of the crime Saturday.

CTV's Austin Delaney reports that the jury members were taken to the west-end school where the student was shot nearly four years ago.

The 12 men and woman boarded a white bus and arrived at C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute in the Keele and Finch neighbourhood, under heavy police guard including the K-9 Unit.

"For days now the jury has been hearing from witnesses describing where they were inside the school at the time of the shooting. Today was a chance for them to see first-hand the scene of the crime," Delaney reported.

Two males, now aged 22, named J.W. and C.D. were charged with first-degree murder in the case. They cannot be named because they were minors when they were first charged.

They arrived at the school Saturday morning along with the judge, defence, crown and court reporters to tour the place where Manners was shot.

Manners died from a single, .25-calibre bullet wound in the heart. This is the second trial for the two accused, with the first ending in a mistrial when the jury could not reach a verdict.
