Police arrested a 19-year-old man Sunday in connection with a fire at a Brampton home.
Police said the accused was babysitting a nine-year-old and a five-year-old Wednesday evening when he allegedly lit a fire in the house and fled the scene, leaving the children behind.
The fire was extinguished by one of the children, who doused the flames with a bucket of water. There was minimal damage to the home.
Toronto police arrested Joshua Raphael in the stairwell of an apartment complex in Toronto. He was handed over to Peel police shortly after the arrest.
