OAKVILLE, Ont - A woman charged in Oakville, Ont., for not wearing a seatbelt was thankful for the ticket after she got in a car crash shortly after.
The woman was stopped as part of a seatbelt check on an on-ramp to the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville on Monday morning.
The police officer gave her a ticket because she hadn't buckled up.
Just 20 minutes later, the officer responded to a three-car crash further down the QEW.
The same woman was found to be at fault in the rear-end, chain-reaction crash.
Despite the officer again charging the woman -- this time for following too close -- she thanked him for saving her from what could have been a serious injury.
