A driver was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Thursday after being ejected during a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 407.
Ontario Provincial Police said the man was travelling west at a high rate of speed near Pine Valley Road before the noon hour when he suddenly applied his brakes.
The driver lost control of his Buick SUV, which rolled several times before landing in an embankment at the side of the highway. The driver was ejected during the crash.
Police said the 52-year-old driver, whose name hasn't been released, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
The man was taken to Sunnybrook hospital in critical condition.
Police closed down two westbound lanes to investigate the crash.
