ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - A 49-year-old woman has died in a motorcycle collision on Highway 406 in St. Catharines.
Provincial police say the crash occurred at about 6:30 Monday evening in the northbound lanes of the highway south of West Chester Avenue.
Investigators say the driver of the motorcycle lost control and struck the guardrail.
The name of the woman is not being released until next of kin have been notified.
The collision remains under investigation and police say the northbound lanes of Highway 406 are unlikely to reopen before midnight.
