A vehicle belonging to the father of a missing Woodbridge baby has been found by police as the search continues for the two-month-old boy.
Police said that the vehicle of Ricky Doodhnaught, 31, was found in Toronto's west end on the weekend.
According to York Regional Police, Doodhnaught escaped with his son George when case workers and police arrived at a Comfort Inn in Rexdale on Nov. 24. The officials had come to the motel to collect two children under a previous court order.
An 11-month-old child was taken to a safe location and the mother of the children was arrested on the scene.
Last week, homicide investigators took over the search for Doodhnuaght and the infant, although police had given no indication that the case is a homicide at this point.
Police said that they are concerned for the boy's safety given that he was born prematurely and may have health issues.
The infant was last seen on Oct. 31 at a doctor's appointment in Woodbridge.
Police said the baby's mother believed that her husband had given the child to relatives, however, police interviews revealed some family members didn't know that the couple had a second child.
Doodhnaught is described as male, brown, 5-foot-10, with short, black hair and brown eyes.
