Two people have been arrested after a male was stabbed on the property of St. Francis Xavier Secondary School in Mississauga.
The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday somewhere on the high school's property, which is located near Bristol Road West and Hurontario Street.
The school was in lockdown for several hours but that order has since been lifted.
Peel paramedics say the victim has been taken to local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Peel police said they have arrested two young offenders in connection with the stabbing. A third suspect is outstanding but their identity is known to police, investigators said.
No further information on the third suspect has been released.
Const. Baljit Saini said one of the suspects is a student at the school.
According to Saini, the victim and at least one of the suspects knew each other. Police did not release further details on what led to the incident.
