A man is dead after being ejected from a car on Highway 407 Monday morning, and police are looking for a second vehicle that may have been involved in the crash.
Police haven't released the victim's age, but say his black hatchback was travelling westbound on the highway near Mississauga Road at about 9:15 a.m. when it left the road.
The vehicle travelled a significant distance into the ditch and hit an embankment, ejecting the driver. He died at the scene, said Ontario Provincial Police spokesperson Sgt. Dave Woodford.
The deceased man was the only person in his vehicle. Police don't know if he was wearing a seatbelt.
While investigators are still piecing together the circumstances that led to the crash, they say there may have been a second vehicle involved.
Police are looking for a white pickup truck that was towing a red utility trailer carrying a yellow machine. Police say the driver of that vehicle may not even have realized there was a crash, but that there may be some minor damage on the right side of the trailer.
