LINDSAY, Ont. - Police have charged a woman in connection with the alleged thefts of poppy donation boxes in Lindsay, Ont.
Two of the boxes were allegedly stolen at banks earlier this week in the community about 45 kilometres northwest of Peterborough.
A third such incident was reported Friday at a downtown pizza restaurant.
A 32-year-old Lindsay woman faces four charges, three of which are related to the poppy incidents.
Melissa Maides faces four counts each of theft under $5,000 and is due in court Dec. 11.
Money raised from the Royal Canadian Legion poppy donations go to veterans and their families, among other causes.
