Peel police are looking for a suspect who may have been burned in a botched arson early Tuesday morning.
Police said an explosion rocked KMB Bridal and Photography Studios at 800 Dundas Street in Mississauga at about 2:40 a.m. on Dec. 13. The building's sprinkler system doused the blaze, containing the damage to only one unit.
However, when police and emergency crews arrived at the scene they reported the smell of gasoline and found gasoline cans nearby. The Ontario Fire Marshal ruled that the fire was deliberately set.
The blast caused some $60,000 damage in the store.
Police also said video surveillance equipment captured a male leaving the store and then driving away in a silver Dodge Durango SUV. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Haines Road.
The suspect is described as 5'6" with a skinny build wearing blue jeans and black puffy hooded parka. Police believe the suspect might have been burned in the blast.
