Peel police say a male pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by a bus in Mississauga.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, was walking near the intersection of Rathburn Road and Duke of York Boulevard when he was struck by a MiWay transit bus just after 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Trillium Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The area remains closed as police investigate the incident.
The Major Collisions Bureau has also been called in to investigate.
