TORONTO - One Toronto firefighter is injured after fighting a blaze that ripped through an area adjacent to a popular waterfront restaurant Saturday.

Toronto Fire Services says the fire broke out on a deck located on Lake Ontario at about 3 a.m.

The fire hit a gas line and fire officials say the blaze became so intense that it broke about 15 windows in the Docks Restaurant, located adjacent to the fire.

Fire officials say the fire-engulfed deck was not in use at the time of the blaze, and the fire was under control just over an hour after it broke out.

One firefighter was sent to St. Michael's Hospital with a lower leg injury.

Toronto Fire Services say they've contacted the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office to investigate the incident.
