A dump truck driver escaped serious harm after rolling his large vehicle over on Highway 401 on Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say the trucker swerved to avoid a car in the eastbound collector lanes near Highway 400 at about 7 a.m.
The manoeuvre, however, caused him to hit a guardrail and roll his truck onto its side.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt and escaped unhurt, police said.
The truck, which was empty, blocked several lanes. The accident caused traffic tie-ups for about two hours.
