TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays demoted right-handed pitcher Kyle Drabek to triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Drabek has struggled in 14 games this season with Toronto, going 4-5 with a 5.70 earned-run average.

He allowed eight earned runs, including three homers, on seven hits in four innings of work in Sunday's 14-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

Drabek was acquired by Toronto from the Philadelphia Phillies as part of a package for Roy Halladay in December 2009.

To replace Drabek on the roster, the Blue Jays recalled right-hander Zach Stewart from double-A New Hampshire.

The 24-year-old is 4-3 in 2011 with a 4.39 ERA.
