Police in Toronto's Beach community are warning women to be aware of a possible sexual predator in the area.
A woman reported being sexually assaulted at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday as she was walking her dog.
She told police the assault happened while she was at a parkette near the Balmy Beach Club in the Queen Street East and Willow Avenue area. A suspect snuck up on her from behind and attacked her, she said.
The suspect, a man in his early 20s, fled the scene on foot.
Authorities describe the man as having a medium build. He was unshaven and was wearing dark baggy jeans, a thick silver chain and a dark hooded sweater with white writing on the back.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 416-808-7474. Callers can also leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
