A 28-year-old woman who died of injuries from a downtown Toronto stabbing was laid to rest following a funeral.
Rosemarie Junor, known to friends and family as Kim, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, after being wounded in an attack police say was "without provocation."
She was stabbed multiple times on Friday, Dec. 11, at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto's PATH network, an underground pedestrian walkway and shopping complex.
"Many people will remember her for the kind person she was. She was really a great person," a family member told CTV Toronto on Tuesday.
"My heart and my prayers are with the family," a woman said as she went into the church.
Another described Junor as "beautiful" and "vibrant," saying the woman was a newlywed. Her new husband was one of the pallbearers at the funeral.
Junor was laid to rest following a 10 a.m. service at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on 3170 St. Clair Ave. E., just west of Victoria Park Avenue in Scarborough.
The woman accused of the attack, 40-year-old Rohinie Bisesar, has been charged with second-degree murder. She appeared before a judge on Friday, before being remanded until her next hearing on Jan. 8.
