A woman, 75, was taken to hospital with a "serious head injury," after she was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, Toronto paramedics say.
The incident occurred at Mount Pleasant Road and Merton Street, just north of downtown.
Paramedics responded to the call shortly after 4:30 p.m.
Police say that Mount Pleasant was closed in both directions at Merton as a result of their investigation.
