An overturned delivery truck caused traffic headaches along Highway 401 during the afternoon commute on Tuesday.
Witnesses said the meat delivery truck was driving erratically in the eastbound express lanes from Highway 400 until it smashed into a tanker truck and flipped onto its side at Bayview Avenue at about 3:30 p.m.
Motorists also said before the rollover happened, the truck clipped a car, which sent that vehicle into the guardrail.
The collision at Bayview caused police to close all eastbound express lanes except one. All ramps in the area were also closed to traffic.
At its height, the traffic backlog stretched all the way west to Highway 427. Side streets were also jammed.
The highway was reopened at about 5:45 p.m., police said.
The truck driver, meanwhile, was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.
