Toronto Community Housing has elected two new members onto the organization's board of directors.
Munira Abukar, 18, and Catherine Wilkinson, 53, are now a part of Canada's largest social housing group. The pair beat out six other candidates in the campaign.
The win marks Abukar's first time serving the board, and a re-election for Wilkinson.
Alternatives Tarak Ahmed and Simone Samuel won third and fourth place in the vote.
The previous board of directors were asked to leave after audits suggested overspending.
