Reports say another suspect in the "Toronto 18" plot has pleaded guilty to one count of participating in a terrorist group.

"I can confirm to you that Ali Dirie entered a plea of guilty today," Dan Brien, a spokesperson for the federal prosecutor's office, told the Globe and Mail and Toronto Star Monday.

Dirie, who is in his 20s, is the second member of the group to plead guilty.

Last month, a judge sentenced Saad Khalid to 14 years in prison, for conspiring to commit terrorism in the heart of Canada's largest city.

Dirie still faces a second charge of gun smuggling, for allegedly sneaking a handgun across the Canada-U.S. border three years ago.

He appears to have had a minor role in the plot. Other suspects are accused of taking part in a terrorist training camp in 2005, but at that time, Dirie was in a federal prison for the gun smuggling charge.

Dirie is expected to come before a judge for sentencing on Oct. 2.
