Police in Peel Region have identified the victim of a shooting outside a strip club in Mississauga as a 27-year-old man.
Raimzhan Tokhtabayev was shot during an altercation outside the Diamonds Cabaret strip club on Dundas Street at around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say Tokhtabayev was rushed to hospital with “obvious signs of trauma” but died of his injuries a short time later.
Investigators are asking residents and businesses nearby to the club to review their surveillance camera footage in an effort to identify possible witnesses or suspects.
The owners of the club told CP24 on Thursday morning that the establishment is equipped with security cameras both inside and outside the building.
Thus far, police have not released any information on possible suspects.
Anyone with new information about the investigation is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
