A 45-year-old Bolton, Ont. man has been identified as the victim of a homicide in which his remains were found scattered throughout cottage country.
The OPP said Monday in a news release that an autopsy and DNA testing helped them identify the person as Morris Conte.
Bolton is near Caledon.
On May 22, Conte's remains were discovered in Oro-Medonte and Lake of Bays townships.
Oro-Medonte is about 100 kilometres from Bolton. Lake of Bays is about 130 kilometres away from Oro-Medonte.
Police got a third report of remains on May 28. A contractor found them between Bracebridge and Baysville.
Police say they still don't have all the parts of Conte's body.
"The OPP is again asking the public to contact them immediately if they come across anything that appears to be out of place or peculiar to the setting to which it may have been located in," they said.
