BRAMPTON, Ont. - A Brampton, Ont., man who is accused of failing to tell a sex partner about his HIV-positive status is being charged with aggravated sexual assault.
Police allege that for several months earlier this year, the 24-year-old man was having sex with a 21-year-old Brampton woman.
Police say he didn't tell her he was HIV-positive and knowingly put her at risk of contracting the virus that causes AIDS.
Police are looking for anyone else who may have had involvement with the suspect.
Yonatan Mekonnen was arrested late last week and charged with aggravated sexual assault.
