Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff will be making appearances in six Southern Ontario towns in the coming week, starting with a visit to Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
Ignatieff will visit Brantford for a townhall meeting on Monday, followed by Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce meetings on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday afternoon, he will be in London for another townhall meeting, followed by a visit to a Chamber of Commerce meeting in Burlington the next morning.
The visit to Southern Ontario comes as a recent Strategic Council poll shows the Ignatieff-led Liberals locked in a virtual tie for voter support across Canada.
The same poll showed provincial support swinging towards the Liberals in Ontario, with the Liberals polling at 45 per cent, compared to the Conservatives at 32 per cent and the NDP at three per cent.
