TORONTO - Toronto Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo says the NBA club has a bright future despite another disappointing season.
Colangelo held a season-ending media availability Monday morning at the Air Canada Centre.
Toronto finished with a 22-60 record this season, the third-worst mark in the league.
Colangelo says he hopes to build on the foundation created by the strong play of youngsters like DeMar DeRozan, Amir Johnson and Ed Davis.
Colangelo adds that injuries were a problem and forced the team to accelerate its rebuilding plan early in the season.
It's unclear whether Colangelo will get a chance to finish the project since his contract expires in late June.
