Toronto police have issued a public safety alert after an attempted child abduction in the city's east end.
Police said a four-year-old boy was approached by a woman in East Lynn Park, near Danforth Avenue and Woodbine Avenue, between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The woman grabbed the boy by the arm and tried to entice him away, but the child's caregiver intervened.
Police said at that point, the woman said, "What are you doing with my son?" before leaving.
The suspect is described as:
- White
- Between 40 and 50 years old
- 5-foot-10
- Very skinny
- Long, blonde curly hair
- She was wearing a green shirt, beige pants and many bracelets.
