Peel Regional Police say three Brampton men have been charged with first degree murder after another Brampton man was fatally stabbed early Monday morning.
Rupie Budhu, 43, was found without vital signs outside a home on Skyvalley Drive shortly after 12:30 a.m., according to police.
Paramedics rushed the Brampton man to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
It is unclear if the man lived at the home where he was stabbed, but he arrived at the residence in a taxi, Peel Regional Police said.
Police Const. Lily Fitzpatrick told CTV Toronto. Fitzpatrick said the cab driver wasn’t involved, but was a witness to the altercation.
Moses Torrezao, 51, Nicholas Persaud, 18, and Kevin Mayabir, 21, have been charged with first-degree murder. Their relationship with the suspect is not known.
The three men will appear in court on April 29 for a bail hearing.
Police are investigating, and ask anyone with information to call Peel's homicide bureau at 905-453-3311, ext. 3205, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
