A woman was arrested Tuesday after her boyfriend was stabbed in the neck at a party.
The couple had been drinking with a group of people in an eleventh floor apartment at 190 Woolner Ave., northeast of St. Clair Avenue West and Jane Street, when an argument began, police alleged.
The 26-year-old man was stabbed in the neck.
Rescue crews who arrived on the scene at about 8:30 a.m. initially thought the girlfriend had been stabbed as well.
They said there was blood on so many people in the apartment they had a hard time figuring out who was actually injured.
"There was a female taken to the hospital as a precaution," Insp. Brad Fisher, of the Toronto police, told CTV Toronto. "It is my understanding she is not injured. (She) might have panicked or something."
Police later said the woman fainted after getting blood on herself.
The couple was taken to St. Michael's Hospital. The man was in serious but stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
A 19-year-old woman is in police custody and has been charged with aggravated assault.
