Toronto police say they have arrested a 40-year-old woman in connection with an unprovoked stabbing at a downtown drug store in the underground PATH system.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at a Shopper Drug Mart, located underground at 66 Wellington Street near Bay Street.

Investigators allege the woman went into the store and stabbed another woman “without provocation.”

The victim is still in grave condition, police say.

Rohinie Bisesar, 40, was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon. She has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

Bisesar is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
