Toronto police are looking for two suspects after a shot was fired during a fight between three men males inside a Scarborough home on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to house on Morecambe Gate, near Victoria Park and Finch Avenue, at about 1:40 p.m.
During the altercation, one shot was fired, but the bullet didn't hit anyone, Staff Sgt. Sean Brosnan told CTV.ca. The bullet lodged into the ceiling inside unit 9 of the townhouse complex.
The unidentified victim, who was either beaten or pistol whipped inside his home, was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Heavily armed Emergency Task Force officers scoured the area, but the suspects had already fled.
Two schools in the area temporarily locked down as a precautionary measure, but they reopened a short time later.
Brosnan said it's still too early to determine a motive for the shooting. The victim and witnesses are no co-operating with police.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
