Two men are facing eight charges after police found a $1.2-million marijuana grow-operation in west-end Toronto.

The Toronto Police Drug Squad executed a search warrant at a house on Chalkfarm Drive near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue and found more than 1,200 marijuana plants, a quantity of dried marijuana and various associated growing equipment.

The value of the operation is estimated to be over $1,200,000.

Hoang Nguyen, 29, and Van Nguyen, 34, both of Toronto, are charged with producing marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, and theft of electricity.

Both men made an appearance at Old City Hall on Saturday.
