WELLAND, Ont. - A coroner's inquest into the death of a Fort Erie teen is on hold.
Reilly Anzovino's parents want a new lawyer, but presiding coroner Jack Stanborough told the family to hire new legal representation quickly.
Reilly Anzovino, 18, died after a crash on Highway 3 between Port Colborne and Fort Erie in December 2009.
The teen lost vital signs just before arriving at Welland's hospital and the inquest jury has been asked to decide if the conversion of emergency rooms in Port Colborne and Fort Erie to urgent care centres played a role in her death.
The inquest at the Welland courthouse was expected to go another three weeks, with 25 witnesses to go.
The coroner's office is in the process of contacting witnesses to tell them about the interruption.
