TORONTO - John Tory's name is gone from the door of the Opposition leader's office at the Ontario legislature, but the man at the helm of the Progressive Conservatives insists he's not going anywhere.

Tory says he asked to have his name taken off the door because he's no longer a member of the legislature, which means he can't be leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition.

Tory lost a head-to-head battle with Education Minister Kathleen Wynne in last month's provincial election, and has to wait for a byelection to try and win another seat in the legislature.

Conservative House Leader Bob Runciman will become Opposition leader when the legislature resumes sitting next week.

Runciman will physically move into the leader's office and share it with Tory.

For now, however, the office door has only the title, with no one's name.
