A man was pushed onto the subway tracks early this morning by a passing stranger.
The man was not injured and was able to climb to safety. He was waiting for the train at the College subway station at around 6 a.m. when he was shoved from behind.
Police say they are looking for a suspect who is about 35 years old with brown hair. The suspect is about 5'9" tall and was wearing white running shoes.
In an unrelated incident, police were called back to a TTC subway station about an hour later after a woman reported being sexually assaulted.
She was at the St. Andrew's station at around 7 a.m. when she was grabbed by a man she didn't know.
Police reviewed TTC surveillance video and arrested a suspect a short time later near Yonge and Bloor Streets.
Ashley Peter Roberts, 50, of no fixed address, is charged with:
- Sexual assault
- Two counts of criminal harassment
- Breach of probation
