Homicide investigators are looking for witnesses after the body of a missing Vaughan man was discovered Friday night.
Sina Parsi, 32, disappeared Tuesday after attending a local soccer game. His body was found Friday in the Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue West area, police said in a statement.
Homicide investigators are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Police are expected to give an update on the case Saturday afternoon.
Parsi was last seen around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday in the Teston Road and Highway 400 area, driving a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
On Thursday, officers traced his cell phone signal to a strip mall near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West, where they found his car. His wallet was found in nearby Smyth Park.
Parsi’s family said police told them security footage from near the strip mall showed Parsi entering a bank, withdrawing money, and walking toward a wooded area.
Police could not confirm how much money Parsi withdrew, or if money was missing from the wallet when it was found.
Speaking to CTV Toronto on Friday, Parsi's wife described her husband as her "best friend."
"He’s everything to me," she said.
