Two streetcars collided at a busy downtown intersection on Tuesday afternoon, snarling traffic before the afternoon rush hour.
Toronto police said the collision happened at about 3 p.m. when one of the streetcars jumped the tracks at Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street.
Three transit riders were taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The crash interrupted traffic in all directions. Vehicles in the area were being diverted as a result.
TTC officials and police were working to clear the intersection.
