Police in Peel region have seized more than $3 million worth of drugs in raids executed in the Greater Toronto Area.
Investigators said Tuesday that the large seizure came after a lengthy investigation involving undercover officers. At the end, police executed six search warrants, three of which were in Brampton and the other three in Toronto.
Detectives found more than 146,000 tablets of ecstasy, oxycodone and percocet as well as 8 lbs. of marijuana and 5 ounces of cocaine. Police say they also seized hash and heroine as well as 200 kilograms of ecstasy precursors.
Six people between the ages of 25 and 36 have been charged with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance
- Conspiracy to commit trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Production of a controlled substance.
