LONDON, Ont. - The province's Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a Kitchener man was killed in an accident on Highway 401 near London on Thursday morning.
Police were on the highway dealing with an accident that occurred around 4 a.m. in which a tractor-trailer had rolled over.
Officers were escorting a tow truck removing the rig from the scene when a truck driven by the 22-year-old Kitchener man passed police and slammed into the back of a third truck.
The Kitchener man died in the collision.
A woman in another car who swerved to avoid the collision was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
