The Special Investigations Unit has been called in to investigate after a man tumbled to his death from a downtown bridge Wednesday afternoon.
According to the SIU, Toronto police responded to a call at 3:50 p.m. to speak with a man on the Rosedale Bridge over the Bloor viaduct.
While the officers were speaking with the man he fell from the bridge.
The man died at the scene.
Six investigators and two forensic investigators have been assigned to the incident.
The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
