A Toronto police officer fired several shots at a stolen car after it rammed a police cruiser to get away, according to authorities.
The shooting took place at a gas station at Dupont Street and Davenport Road early Monday morning.
Police arrived at the gas station after they received a report about a possible impaired driver on Bloor Street.
They found the car parked at the gas station and were going to question the driver when the driver allegedly rammed the cruiser and fled the scene.
The officer opened fire but it's not known if any shots hit the car.
After further investigation, authorities discovered that the car, a black Volkswagen Jetta, had been stolen.
