Peel police are investigating an apparent murder-attempted suicide that occurred inside a Mississauga condominium.

When police arrived at the building at 25 Trailwood Dr., in the Eglinton Avenue and Hurontario Street area, they found two bodies.

A 51-year-old woman inside a unit had no vital signs, but emergency workers realized a 60-year-old man suffering from unspecified injuries was still alive. He was taken to hospital and is now in serious condition and under police guard.

While police said they were called to the home at about 11 a.m., they kept tight-lipped on additional details. Police wouldn't comment on a motive, if a weapon was used or if the man and woman were related.

No names have been released.
