A senior citizen died Sunday morning after being hit by two vehicles in Scarborough.
Police said the 76-year-old man was walking across Lawrence Avenue near McCowan Road around 11:a.m. when he was struck by the first vehicle.
The impact threw the victim into the path of another vehicle, which also crashed into him.
The senior suffered serious trauma from the two impacts. He was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at the request of the family.
The accident was the city's 28th traffic-related fatality of the year.
Members of Traffic Services are currently investigating the collision. Any witnesses to this collision is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
