One person was pronounced dead on scene and another was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a collision on Highway 401 that involved three motorcycles and a transport truck.
It happened in the eastbound express lanes of the highway near Allen Road at around 3:25 a.m.
Ontario Provincial Police say that it is possible that there were other motorcycles involved in the crash; however that has not yet been determined.
The eastbound express lanes on Highway 401 are closed at Allen Road as police conduct a full reconstruction of the accident.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
