A 20-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a Toronto teen last Friday.

Rafi Quaderi, 16, died early Friday morning after being stabbed several times in an altercation at the Beaver and the Firkin bar, in the city's east end, shortly after midnight.

Police issued an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Darren Anthony Rahamut.

The suspect attended 41 Division on Saturday with his lawyer and surrendered.

He has been charged with second-degree murder and was to appear at Old City Hall courts on Sunday.

Quaderi became the city's eighth homicide of the year.
